The Pearls Book Club
We could stand alone in all our beauty but we have gathered together as a beautiful cluster to illuminate the lives arounds us, we embody and celebrate the grandeur of being woman. Fostering an atmosphere to motivate, inspire and encourage one another as we travel through the facets of life. A group of worman from diverse backgrounds and experiences bonding through the joy of reading, writing, stimulating conversations and continuous growth, have come together to form a sisterly union... What is the vision for the Pearls…well empowering woman, supporting and motivating others and community service is the focus. This focus will be achieved by promoting authors and entrepreneurs, volunteering time and finances to various charities and organizations, providing scholarships and other materials to students, and last but definitely not least celebrating being woman. Like the beautiful gem that is a part of our name “ Women vary in size, shapes, complexions and cultures, we are composed of a variety of layers that make each one of us different but add the great opportunity for us to learn from one another. Embracing the growth within ourselves and others we will read books of various genres from a wide variety of authors and come together in monthly gatherings and in an online forum to discuss. Also, understanding the need for platforms that celebrate our African American authors, our N’ the Spotlight section on our site will be dedicated to that quest. In addition, interviews with authors will be posted on our blog and in our quarterly newsletter along with other interesting items. Our N’ the Spotlight section will also provide visibility to small businesses, a different business will be presented monthly. We will honor poets in our Poetry Studio, encourage consistent growth in our Refresh-Revitalize-Renew Lounge, and always have inspirational and thought provoking quotes throughout our site.
