Excerpt from chapter 1:

Self, Playing Your Own Game

When you get seriously involved with a woman, you are entering her life. Its no longer about you but about

us, so the decisions you make dont just aff ect you but her as well.Like I said, you dont need a lot of money to be successful. As long as you want something out of life and are not willing to settle for nothing, a woman should be comfortable with that. Women are tired of the men out there who dont have any direction in life. You have guys out on the corner selling drugs or on drugs, guys living off their women or still living with their parents and not working, and guys in jail or about to go to jail. Most decent women will not get involved with men with these issues because, most of the time, nothing good comes out of it—just more problems and more drama. Remember, a woman wants to be with a winner or with someone who is at least trying legally to get by in life. Making money illegally isnt winning; its losing.Success is not always about your money but your lifestyle. How do you live? Is your lifestyle honest? Is it safe? Will people feel comfortable around you? Just because someone has a lot of money doesnt mean that person is successful.A truly successful person lives and makes money honestly, and this is the definition of winning.

It’s commonly known that women mature faster than men, reaching maturity at approximately age 18 when men reach the same level at age 21, and even then a sense of maturity is not always evidenced in men’s behavior. One of the most difficult rites of passage for young men is the transition from immature, frivolous relationships to monogamy as adults, where relationships are built upon trust and honesty. To ease the strain of this common difficulty and set

the record straight, Chris Hicks divulges the secrets of a successful relationship for those young adults prepared to make the leap in his new self-help guidebook,
Think Volume 1: The young adults guide to a successful relationship (published by AuthorHouse).

Think Volume 1 deconstructs the complex issue of gender relations into black and white terms – you either are winning or losing at a relationship – in an insightful, practical guide for young adult males. Hicks explains how cause and effect comes into play in relationships, demonstrating how young men must be aware of the consequences of their actions. Using his own personal experiences as evidence, his wisdom focuses on the benefits of aiming for longterm gains with women as opposed to short-term goals. Full of useful tips about approaching women and understanding how they think, Think Volume 1 details simple principles that can set any young male on the right path towards a rewarding

relationship.

"Inspiration, spirituality, solitude, intuition, creativity, practice, play and reflection are keys to wisdom...aren't we blessed to recognize these necessary phases of art and craft which continually fill our soul?"

Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.
